Versatile Flooring for All Styles

Whether you prefer a rustic, farmhouse interior design, or a more sleek, modern aesthetic, flagstones are a versatile flooring option, complimenting a number of different home styles. We often find that our more textured, earthy-toned flagstones are most popular in traditional homes, whereas our lighter-coloured and smoother-textured flagstones tend to be more fitting in contemporary homes. Despite this, our flagstones fit comfortably in both new and old homes.

In this blog, we take a look at some of our flagstones that have been laid in both a modern and traditional setting:

1. Traditional

a) Old Rectory

With its soft, neutral colour palette and slightly worn-looking texture, Old Rectory is a rustic and stylish flagstone which will never go out of style. This stone comes in a mixture of different finishes and random width sizes, which is based on a format that has been used in more historical buildings for countless years. It is commonly placed in kitchens and dining rooms but can be placed in various different areas around the home.

b) Old Farmhouse Green

Old Farmhouse Green is an earthy, neutral colour, making any space feel cosy and inviting. Its tumbled edges and brushed surface give it a more rustic and worn appearance that is reminiscent of a traditional old farmhouse flagstone tile. The greens and browns within this stone complement this kitchen in Bromyard seamlessly.

2. Modern

a) The Clifton

If you are looking for a way to brighten up your home, our light and inviting Clifton stone might be the perfect option for you! This stone has a much smoother surface compared to our other flagstones making it great in both new and historic properties. We love the contrast between the light flooring and darker accents, such as the blue cupboards, in this gorgeous Border Oak home.

b) Provence Antique

Provence Antique is a light, neutral colour with a very slight textured surface, making it a versatile flooring option. Being made from natural materials means that no stone tile is the same, allowing our customers to create a unique and interesting final look. Provence Antique works fantastically in this dining room - the long table and large windows are simply dreamy too!
